Brimming with whimsy and movement, Reeves’ brightly colored paintings are filled with biomorphic shapes and coded systems; her symbolic abstractions requiring an intuitive rather than rational reading.

Approaching her work intuitively and iteratively, Amanda allows each painting to determine its own logic, rhythm and palette. The resulting works invite viewers into her autonomous worlds that merge memory, observation and imagination.
